Build a Piner's Punt Model with Wooden Boat Guild

Set yourself up for the weekend at the beautiful historic Mariner's Cottages at Battery Point and create your own model Piner's Punt. What's a piner's punt you ask? A piner's punt is a uniquely Tasmanian small row boat built to transport men and tools up rivers and creeks into the depths of the forests on the West Coast and far South West of Tasmania. Why would these men be travelling such distances in a small row boat? To find and collect ancient logs of Huon Pine timber.

The Wooden Boat Guild will be hosting you to create your own Piner's Punt model.
