From our cold, clean waters we harvest an amazing range of seafoods, including oysters, mussels, abalone, crayfish, octopus, blue eye and more.

Shop Salamanca Place and the nearby streets for excellent food shops, cafes and restaurants to sample the goods. The atmosphere along Salamanca's 'Pub Row' on the weekend is electric. On Sunday the award-winning Farm Gate Market in Bathurst Street is a local favourite for great food and drink.

North Hobart, just a short taxi ride from the CBD, is another hot spot, with a wide selection of ethnic restaurants, live music venues, an excellent cinema, cafes and pubs, all very popular with locals.

A little further afield, visit the wineries of the Coal River Valley and the Huon Valley for tastings, cellar doors and fine dining. Check in at the Hobart Visitor Information Centre in town or visit the website here.
