The Hobart Vintage Machinery Society brings along a vast collection of vintage marine engines and equipment.

A display of machines and engines of varying shapes and sizes, the 2023 event will see the return of the Tasmanian Transport Museum's Robey Steam Engine, the Marshall engine, the "Rusty Nuts Shed" repair shop and the Cartela engine. Punters get a look into the essential mechanics in which our modern engines are based on.

The Hobart Vintage Machinery Society aim to preserve machinery heritage and restore old machinery, with 90+ members that gather every Wednesday to work on their projects. Much of their equipment dates back to the 1800's and the members will be available to chat all things machinery throughout the Festival.
