Tasmanian Special Timbers

Learn of the collaboration of the Bradshaw family and the Morrison family. Some would say they are the creators of the Huon Pine Industry. From bushrangers to salvagers, the families are famous on the wild West Coast of Tasmania. From the early 1900’s there has been generations of Bradshaw’s and Morrison’s making a living from Tasmanian timbers. Join us on an adventure to the world’s largest Huon pine sawmill, and watch as rough and rugged Huon pine logs, lying on the ground for centuries, are transformed into speciality furniture and boat building materials.
