Known for their complex harmonies and boot stomping beats, The Lost Quays bring to life both traditional shanties and more modern stories of life on the sea. Come join the rowdy choir in this sea shanty workshop aboard the Tall Ship Enterprize. Knock back some Dutch courage in between stanzas with straight-up rum and cocktail concoctions from the finest local distilleries.

Only in port during the 4 days of the Festival, Enterprize, is a replica of the tall ship that brought the first European settlers from Tasmania to found the city of Melbourne in 1835.

A lot has changed since then, but the sea shanties and rum are about the same!

Price: $45 + Eventbrite booking fee (includes workshop and 2 x complimentary rum or soft drinks)

When: 3:00pm - 4:30pm, Saturday 11 February, 2023

Where: Enterprize will be located dockside at the southern side of Elizabeth St Pier. Please note, this is not a sailing event; the Enterprize will remain dockside.

1Are beverages included?
Yes! The workshop includes two complimentary rum or soft drinks.
2Will there be food?
A selection of sea shanty snacks will be available for purchase on board.
3Are there any age restrictions?
This event is restricted to people aged 18 years and over; photo ID may be required.
4Will we be sailing?
This is a non-sailing event. Enterprize will be docked on the southern side of Elizabeth St Pier.
5Is this an accessible venue?
This venue is a working vessel; please expect uneven surfaces and stairs.
