Get Involved in the Clennett's Mitre 10 Quick & Dirty Boat Building Challenge
One of the Australian Wooden Boat Festival's most popular events, with both competitors and spectators. Student teams construct a boat on site, during the festival to race under propulsion of sail and paddle/oar on the last day, Monday 13th February 2:30pm. The Clennett's Mitre 10 Quick & Dirty Boat Building Challenge has been held during the AWBF over several years now, with Tasmanian kids learning the art of boat building and then competing with thousands of spectators in Tasmania's iconic Constitution Dock. Prizes are on offer and the experience is once in a life time!
Teams must consist of 3-4 students, aged between 10 years - 15 years. Students must be available for inductions and training sessions from October 2022 - February 2023. Each team must have a teacher/parent guardian/mentor as the main point of contact. No experience necessary, inductions and training sessions will be included and our Q&D Manager will support your team through the voyage.
