Rallinga
Name: Rallinga
Description:
The Rallinga was built by Bernard Wilson in Briabunna, for Peter and Barbara Wilson to carry tin from Port Davey. Upon Peter’s retirement, Doug King bought it and undertook a magnificant restoration.
David and Pep Nichols purchased the Rallinga in April 2017. David was a professional lobster fisherman for over 50 years, owning the fishing vesels: Greta H; Rhona H; Sydney Lewis; Lewies Pride and finally the ‘Karalinga’.
He fished the South and South West Coast of Tasmania, spending much time in Port Davey and has many interesting stories to tell. Within 3 years after David’s retirement, he needed another boat and so the Rallinga came into the family. He is continuing Doug’s work.
