Little Ripple

Little Ripple
Name: Little Ripple
Boat Owner: James Taylor
Designer: Swallow Boats
Builder: Denman Marine

We are participating in our second Tawe Nunnagah in 2019 and we will also sail back after the AWBF with the return Raid.
The Bay Raider is ideally suited to coastal sailing (aka “raiding”) – especially the D’entrecasteaux Channel. It is very seaworthy due to its wide beam and water ballast, but also has the lively dinghy feel when sailed unballasted. The sail plan is very flexible, fly the kite for exhilarating downwind legs, when it blows simply reef the mainsail, or over 25-30knots just drop the main and sail perfectly balanced under jib and mizzen. At 350 kg, it is readily trailerable and easily launched and it only takes 10 minutes to rig for sailing.
A gem combining traditional looks with modern materials, construction and ergonomics!
