Cygnet Wooden Boats
Jeremy Clowes and his eclectic crew of young and old will take you on a journey from New Zealand to the Pieman River. The crew are mid-restoration of late 1800’s built, New Zealand Te Uira and have been painstakingly replacing the Kauri Pine planks. Couta boat Rose became a reality here and D Class, Nymph, has been undergoing extensive refurbishment. What looks like a disorganised mishmash of old apple sheds, is actually a haven for the keen wooden boat enthusiast. Maritime history enthusiast Colin Grazules frequents the corners with a varnish brush while Matt and Iefke (from down the road at Dave’s Shed) earn their money here before going back to Dave’s Shed to get back into their Tarkine build.
