Transport and Parking

Coming to the Festival with friends and family? Leave the car behind and hop on a fast, frequent Metro Tasmania bus straight to the show.  Forget the hassles of parking, have a glass of wine, skip the traffic and let a professional drive you home. Buses connect to the Eastern Shore, the northern suburbs, Taroona and Kingston all weekend long – check Metro timetables and maps here

Must have the car? There's ample parking at the Queen's Domain, courtesy of our friends at the Royal Hobart Regatta. Park your car securely all day for a small fee and walk to the Festival site in just 10 minutes. There are many public and private parking places in the Hobart CBD. See the Hobart City Council's excellent map here and a special map of exclusive disability parking here. Please note that Sunday parking in the Hobart CBD is not free. Take care to check signs before you leave your car.

Regular ferries operate from Hobart to MONA, Peppermint Bay and adventure tours continue right through the festival weekend. You can even take a cruise on one of our Tall Ships, departing daily from Elizabeth Street Pier. Prices and times vary – see the ships crew for details.
